Angraecum sesquipedal - Reichenbachia Orchid lithograph - Co.1888

Angraecum sesquipedale, also known as Darwin's orchid, Christmas orchid, Star of Bethlehem orchid, and king of the angraecums.
 
Original colour-printed lithograph by Joseph Mansell after the watercolour by landscape painter and botanical artist, Henry George Moon (1857-1905) for Reichenbachia: Orchids Illustrated and Described published in London in 1888 by Ghent, Hanover-born nurseryman Henry Frederick Conrad Sander (1847-1920). 
 
Limited edition, edition number 27/100. Henry George Moon signed in plate.
 
It  laid on to contemporary card (as published), slight spotting, some chipping to the edges of the boards.
